Aloha Esteemed Councilebers :
Please Do NOT Ignore or amend the KCDP! Leave
it as written ® " LL" means shall, and was used
intentionally.
If you gut, amend, or ignore the Kona plan, you
will logically feel further entitled to gut or ignore
the Hamakua plan, Puna plan, etc. I do not want
these plans, changed .
It is not your entitlement, or in the view of many
(who are now shocked and angry at this your
right to change "shall" to "may"!
WHY DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE TO CHANGE IT?
Has something changed you're not telling us
about?
I personally worked on the Hamakua CDP with
Christian Kay for years. We were told that the
wonderful thing about CDP's is that they had the
force of zoning . Once the plan was approved, it
had the force of law. Are you now telling us we
did all that work for nothing? Mainland developers
can now do whatever they want?
These plans were developed in good faith through

These plans are the voice of the people that you
represent. These plans were not - and are not -
written to be replaced with personal opinion,
bias, agenda, or ageeing to whatever monied
powerful outside interests want.
Our island is being polluted, plundered, and
exploited . Why is this allowed to continue? Must
the people constantly monitor your words,
actions, and ethics to make sure they conform
with the law, including CDP's? Don't think we
won't, if it's necessary. Business as usual is over.
