Aloha Council Members,
I am writing to urge you to pass 2 resolutions in your meeting tomorrow.
I am a big supporter of PONC, as is a majority of voters. I am in favor of the proposed
changes to the County Charter to allow board members of nonprofits to be paid for work done
in pursuit of the malama 'aina goals of the PONC program. Please pass Resolucion 216.
I also strongly support Resolution 233, which will urge the State and County to declare a
moratorium on TMT construction. Hawaiian sacred land should be protected and not
desecrated. The tearing down of the ahu up there was despicable. It is unfortunate that there
was ever a road built up the mauna. Please pass resolution 233.
