This email is in support of Resolution 218-19 in support of the local fisherman.
1. They need a ramp at Pohoiki as soon as possible. (Whether it's the old ramp or a new
one on the new lava in front of Pohoiki.)
2. The fisherman cannot wait five years for a new ramp as most of them have had an
income cut of 50% trying to fish out of Hilo.
3. Those making decisions must get input for the people (full time commercial fisherman)
who actually know the area such as ties, currents,
and coastline.
