Honorable Council,
I strongly oppose Resolution 233-19. Our island has many more people than those protesting on the
mountain, many of whom still strongly support construction of the TMT.
The permitting process and environmental reviews have been thorough and my expectation is that
the rule of law is enforced.
I respect the opinion of those protesting the construction, but what message do we send to our
children if we let "do-overs" happen just because someone didn't like the result.
In consideration of the many benefits and opportunities to be afforded, I fully support having
construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope proceed and are strongly opposed to imposition of a
moratorium on construction.
Please help support not only TMT but more opportunities and choices for our children and our
community.
