Subject: TMT Construction Moratorium
Date: Tuesday,July 23,2019 8:42:59 AM
Aloha Council Members
I am strongly opposed to the proposed 60 day moratorium on TMT construction. The
protesters have stated and made it abundantly clear that they have no interest in
9 w„4
negotiation or compromise. The moratorium would accomplish nothing and is a thinly, T
veiled attempt to sabotage the project. The protestors had their day in court, in fact,
.t
several of them and lost. They have the right to protest the decision but not end the
project.
By saying no to TMT, the Council is giving up the potential for improved education and
betterjobs for the island's residents. Instead, you are saying that cleaning hotel rooms
and serving drinks to tourists is good enough for Hawaiians.
