Proposed Ordinance Amending Chapter 25, Hawaii County Code
Adoption of New Zoning_Maps for North and South Kohala Districts
After conducting a duly held public hearing on December 18,
1985, the Planning Commission voted to send a favorable
recommendation on the attached bill. As noted in Section 3 of the
proposed ordinance, the intent is not to change the existing zoning
designations applicable to lands covered by the old zone maps but
merely adopts eight new zone maps to replace the five original zone
maps. The new maps will be able to show more clearly the various
zoning designations for the North and South Kohala districts.
Your favorable consideration in adopting the attached bill will
be greatly appreciated® The affected maps, identified as Exhibits A
through H, are enclosed.
