Subject: TMT 60 day construction moratorium for Mauna Kea
Aloha,
My name is GinnyJo Makalani Botelho Minamishin. I am 46 years old with one Keiki kane and 3 mo'opuna.
I have lived in the Moku Nui o Keawe (Big Island of Hawaii) all my life and so my child and grandchildren.
We have direct royalties to Lake waiau (where my tutu wahine a great kahuna piko resides) which resides a top
Mauna Kea. Our number one resource for sustainability not only in Hawaii but the entire Mother Earth. You
must stop the Desecration of our culture and our meaning of Hawaii. A few years back Stanford university had
proven that if this world were ever to come to end,the only place in the world tou could find refuge was in the
island of Hawaii! By building such a telescope upon our beloved Mauna Kea will take that sustainability away.
We are not against science and astrology which I love and study myself, but at the cost of jeopardizing earth?
An island? You need to take care of our earth in order to study the world of the Unknown as you say. With out
our beloved sacred Mauna Kea, we will perish.
My child and grandchildren are HAWAIIAN royalty, how do you take away from our future generations of
Hawaiians in Hawaii? Their culture , their ancestors burial grounds.
Please, I ask with humility and aloha to stop this telescope and say yes to the 60 construction moratorium.
Mahalo -
