RESOLUTION 233-19 WHY I BELIEVE THE TIVIT MUST BE ALLOWED TO
® My name is Hugh Ono, citizen and member of our County Community for over 50 years.
* tOVERWELMING RATIONALE THAT THIS PROJECT MUST BE ALLOWED TO PROCEED.
o TO CET THEIR APPROVALS,THEY ENDURED AN EXTRAORDINARY PROCESS THAT HAS INCLUDED
FACTORS AND STUDY ITEMS THAT NONE OTHER HAS HAD TO ADDRESS.
o THE CULTURAL ISSUE WAS NOT IGNORED,AND IN THE END THIS APPROVAL PROCESS DID INCLUDE
THAT IN ITS VERY THOROUGH REVIEW TO INCLUDE APPROVAL BY THE NUMEROUS LEVELS OF
APPROVAL.
WITH THIS SAID:
o SHOULD THIS TMT PROJECT NOT PROCEED FOR THE CURRENT
REASONS, THEN OUR PROCESS OF PUBLIC REVIEW AND SCRUTINY IS
MEANING LESS.
o THE APPROPRIATE TIME TO HAVE MADE A DECISION TO DISALLOW
THIS PROJECT WAS DURING ITS EXTENSIVE REVIEW.
o WE ALL HAD OUR CHANCE TO STATE OUR POSITIONS AND IF YOU DID
NOT, YOU JUST MISSED YOUR OPPORTUNITY.
• FOR THE REASONSVE... AND SIMPLY, THIS PROJECT HAS ALREADY MET
ITYS REQUIRMENTSND MUST PROCEED.
