Aloha,
My name is Lahela Spencer, I was born and raised on the island of Hawaii. I currently reside in Waimea.
I strongly oppose the TMT project for many reasons.
I an Hawaiian. I am a Kumu Hula.This is my culture.We connect directly to our land. This project would destroy the last
place that we Hawaiians have left.This is a burial ground for our kupuna AND conservation land.The negative impact it
would have on our resources. We live on an island,we need to take care of what we have before there is nothing left to
take care of us.The amount of jobs that this project would provide does not compare to the sacredness of this place or
to our culture. Some things are just not for sale. I strongly oppose the TMT project.
