Resolution
WHEREAS, the road remnant known as a portion of the Old Kailua-Keauhou
Beach Road located along Alii Drive in Kapalaalaea, 2nd, North Kona, Hawaii,
has not been abandoned; and
WHEREAS, said roadway remnant is no longer of any use to the County of
Hawaii;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the road remnant known as a portion of the Old Kailua-Keauhou Beach Road
located along Alii Drive as delineated in red on the map attached hereto and
marked Exhibit "A", be and is hereby declared abandoned as a roadway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be authorized and directed
to forward a copy of this resolution to the Department of Land and Natural
Resources - State of Hawaii, Mr. Norman K. Okamura, and to the Department of
Public Works of the County of Hawaii.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That the COUNTY OF HAWAII, a municipal corporation of the State
of Hawaii, whose principal place of business is County Building, Hilo,
Hawaii, hereinafter called "Grantor," for and in consideration of the
sum of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) to it paid by the STATE OF HAWAII, a public
body, corporate and politic, whose principal place of business is
Honolulu, Hawaii, hereinafter called the "Grantee," the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, does hereby remise, release and forever quit-
claim to the Grantee all of its rights, title and interest in and to
the following described property:
Land situated southwesterly of Alii
Drive at Kapalaalaea 2, North Kona,
Hawaii
Being a portion of the old Kailua-
Keauhou Beach Road
Beginning at a pipe in concrete at the southeast corner of this
parcel of land, the coordinates of which referred to Government Survey
Triangulation Station "KAHELO" being 12,293.88 feet South and 5,015.84
feet East and running by azimuths measured clockwise from true South:
1. 64° 41' 30" 30.82 feet along Grant S-13803 to Luther
D. Marr;

2. 168° 44' 43.91 feet along Parcel 4, along remainder
of Grant 3019 to Kaaipulu (w) ;
3. 248° 19' 27.04 feet along remainder of the old
Kailua-Keauhou Beach Road;

3814, L.C. Aw. 9235-B:2 to
Haki, to the point of beginning
and containing an area of 1,214
square feet.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said granted premises, together with all
rights, easements, privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging
unto the Grantee, its successors and assigns, forever.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the COUNTY OF HAWAII has caused this Quitclaim
Deed to be executed on its behalf by HERBERT T. MATAYOSHI, its Mayor,
