RESOLUTION NO. 252 19
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF FUNDS TO BE USED TOWARDS TRAVEL AND
OTHER EXPENSES FOR CIO ROUNDTABLE & SECURITY SUMMITS
ATTENDANCE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY.
WHEREAS, the Center for Technology is donating funds to the County of Hawaii
Department of Information Technology for travel and other expenses to attend the CIO
Roundtable & Security Summits events; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has been invited to participate in CIO Roundtable
& Security Summits event panels and discussions with State and municipal IT leaders
nationwide; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Department of Information Technology
recommends approval of this donation by the Center for Technology; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent to Deborah Giles, Executive Director, Center for Technology, 815-A
Brazos Street, Suite #703, Austin, TX 78701.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Department of Information Technology, the Department of Finance and the
Office of the Mayor.
