A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF FUNDS TO BE USED TOWARDS TRAVEL AND
OTHER EXPENSES FOR THE ATTENDANCE OF THE HAWAIIAN
FESTIVAL IN YURIHAMA, JAPAN.
WHEREAS, the town of Yurihama, Japan is donating funds to the County of
Hawaii Office of the Mayor for travel and other expenses to attend the Hawaiian
Festival in Yurihama, Japan; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Office of the Mayor recommends
approval of this donation by the town of Yurihama, Japan; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides
that the council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money,
securities, or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate;
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the
County of Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of
this resolution to the Department of Finance and the Office of the Mayor.
