Dear Chair Chung and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Marcella St. Ambrogio of Council District 1 to the Police
Commission. Ms. St. Ambrogio is a retired Chief of the Bergin County Sheriff
Department.
Ms. St. Ambrogio is a graduate of Mills College with a Bachelor of Science in Education
and from the New Jersey Law Enforcement Academy.
Currently serving on the Fire Commission, Ms. St. Ambrogio generously volunteers her
time to numerous community organizations such as VASH (Visitors Aloha Society of
Hawai'i) , Office of Prosecuting, and the Neighborhood Watch for Hawaii Island.
Ms. St. Ambrogio states she is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, she will
fill a vacant term ending December 31, 2023.
