SUBJECT: Adjustments for Employees Covered by Chapter 77, HRS
In accordance with Section 89C-5, HRS, attached for council action is a resolution to approve
the cost items agreed upon by the employers for excluded managerial employees covered by
Chapter 77, HRS. The proposed adjustments cover the period from July 1, 1997 through
June 30, 1999.
The cost items area 1.55% across-the-boazd increase as of January 1, 1998, a 1.45% across-
the-board increase as of July 1, 1998, and acontinuation ofwithin-range progression over the
two years. Attached as an exhibit to the resolution is a schedule based on data provided by the
Depaztment of Civil Service showing the total cost of these adjustments, all of which will be
paid in the current fiscal year.
