AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 19 , ARTICLE 10, SECTION 19-89, OF
THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 , RELATING TO REAL PROPERTY TAXES,
BY EXEMPTING CERTAIN HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS PROPERTIES FROM
TAXATION.
This bill amends Chapter 19 , Article 10, Section 19-89 ,
of the Hawaii County Code 1983 , relating to real property taxes
by exempting real property, exclusive of buildings, leased and
used as a homestead (houselots, farm lots, and pastoral lots) ,
situated on Hawaiian home lands from real property taxes .
Date Introduced: October 21, 1992
Copies of the foregoing Bill, in full, are on file in
the Office of the County Clerk for use and examination by the
public.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Bill passed first
reading at the meeting of the County Council on
October 21, 1992, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Alonzo, Arakaki , De Lima,
Domingo, Hale, Lai , Makuakane, Ruddle and
Chairman Schutte - 9 .
