RESOLUTION NO. 346 19
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE TWO SETS OF YOUTH
ADJUSTABLE BASKETBALL HOOPS FOR THE KEKUAOKALANI GYMNASIUM.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation provides introductory instruction
in all recreational facilities for various athletic activities for children and adults; and
WHEREAS, basketball is one of the sports played at the Kekuaokalani Gymnasium, and
the youth adjustable basketball hoops used as a learning tool for children eight years and under
are in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase two
sets of youth adjustable basketball hoops for the Kekuaokalani Gymnasium; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase two sets of youth adjustable basketball hoops for the
Kekuaokalani Gymnasium.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $2,500
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5507.06 Department of Parks and Recreation $2,500

basketball hoops)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
