--tYOF`N,•'. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII f-.*:,N,ehiSTATE OF HAWAII <br /> TE OF A4 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 352 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR <br /> A MAILING-SYSTEM MACHINE FOR THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK, <br /> SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease, or <br /> other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of <br /> more than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i wishes to enter into a multi-year lease for five years <br /> for a new mailing-system machine for the Office of the County Clerk, Support Services <br /> Division; and <br /> WHEREAS, the maintenance and lease on the current mailing system will expire on <br /> December 31, 2019, and due to the high volume of mail being sent out from Support Services, a <br /> replacement machine is needed; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk, Support Services Division, wishes to enter <br /> into a five-year lease agreement for a new mailing-system machine for approximately $611 per <br /> month; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five-year lease agreement for a mailing-system <br /> machine for the Office of the County Clerk, Support Services Division. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds shall be budgeted in future fiscal <br /> years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br />
