'HAWAI`I :�; .. <br /> ... : , .„ „,,,::: .„ <br /> .-r/_# STATE O F HAWAI`I <br /> COUNTY OF . <br /> 1.4.644 OF•M��:. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 354 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING <br /> ATTORNEY WITH EXPANDING ITS SAFE DATES PROGRAM TO HAWAII <br /> ISLAND HIGH SCHOOLS. <br /> WHEREAS, Safe Dates is a 10-session, evidence-based program that teaches teenagers <br /> to recognize and avoid unhealthy relationships and behaviors that are physically or emotionally <br /> abusive; and <br /> WHEREAS, after being tested as a four-year pilot program at Waiakea High School, <br /> Safe Dates is being expanded to high schools around Hawai`i Island; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is requesting Contingency Relief <br /> funds for curriculum fees, training supplies, and printing workbooks; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports crime prevention and early <br /> intervention initiatives to improve the quality of life in Hawaii County; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to expand its Safe Dates program to high schools around Hawai`i Island. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $500 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $500 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.02 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $500 <br /> Prosecuting Atty OCE <br /> 115 Misc.
