Subject: Support climate emergency initiative

I am writing in support of the climate emergency initiative.
The science is clear that we're are in a state of emergency. It behooves everyone of us to take
action to protect our planet. Let Hawaii county be a leader in the state to investigate and
educate how to reverse or at least mitigate the effects of climate change. One of the strongest
ways is to change what we consume every day. What we choose to eat has a huge impact on
the environment.
I encourage the council to support and fund ways to teach the residents of this county to eat a
plant based diet. Not only will this have a positive impact on the environment but significant
impact on our health.
