Aloha County Council,
I am writing to advocate for our government on the island of Hawaii to become Climate
Leaders in this time of climate crisis on our planet. The science around climate change is
extensive, authentic, and very clear, that if we do not take action now, the consequences will
be dire for the people and animals of this planet. We have already seen irreversible changes
in the world, due to climate change. It is not too late for us to take action. I urge the County
Council to adopt any and all measures that will place Hawaii island on the world map as a
location where the people are taking the climate issue seriously, and are willing to take action
to prevent the further onslaught of climate damaging activities that threaten our world.
