Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
SUBJECT: REQUEST TO MAKE PRESENTATION TO MEMBERS OF
THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL
We have received a telephone call from Carol Greenhouse with Sexual Assault Support
Service. I suggested that she make a presentation of the program to the members of the
Hawaii County Council. She says that the week of August 22, 1999 would be good for
her.
Sexual Assault Support Service is a private victim services agency which received a
one-year grant to coordinate services to adult female survivors of sexual assault. The
grant enabled them to work with the prosecutor's office, law enforcement, the forensic
examiners at Hawaii County hospitals, and with other community organizations to
eliminate duplicity in service delivery and supplement existing resources.
Please let us know whether this is possible and when she will be able to do this. Thank
you.
