Aloha,
I want to express my full support for the RESOLUTION DECLARING A HAWAII
COUNTY CLIMATE EMERGENCY AND REQUESTING REGIONAL
COLLABORATION TOWARDS AN IMMEDIATE JUST TRANSITION AND
i
EMERGENCY MOBILIZATION EFFORT TO RESTORE A SAFE CLIMATE. I believe it
is very important that we pass this resolution. R
It is of utmost importance that we frame all our activities going forward within the context of
the climate emergency, There are so many issues we face but if we don't look at them within
the context of the climate crisis then we are condemning our children and grandchildren to an
extremely challenging future. Hawai'i County has the opportunity to be a leader. To come
together as an example of how we can lift each other up while taking care of the 'Aina. So

many commitments have already been made towards renewable energy and other climate
goals but they need to be pursued faster because we are in a climate emergency.
I sincerely hope you pass this resolution.
