Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 102, reports as follows:
Bill No. 102, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 495 dated
September 13, 2019, amends Ordinance No. 19-73, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County
of Hawaii for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2020.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Miscellaneous Private Contributions account($100,000); and
appropriates the same to the Ho`owaiwai Financial Empowennent—Private account. Fund would be
used to provide free one-on-one professional financial counseling and other related services and
resources to Hawaii County residents.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 102, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
