HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 306 Draft 01 1976-1980 I County of Hawaii--State of Hawaii Resolution WHEREAS, the Planning Commission is a lay body of nine citizens representing the various areas of the County; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission serves government by pro- viding valuable public service in an advisory and decision-making capacity on planning matters; and WHEREAS, regular Commission meetings are held at least twice a month, sometimes more often; and WHEREAS, the Commission travels throughout the county for their meetings ; and WHEREAS, the Commissioners devote much time to the public in carrying out their responsibilities in addition to their own jobs and personal responsibilities and are not compensated for their time; and WHEREAS, the Commissioners attendance records are excellent; and WHEREAS, the Commission' s decisions are conscientious and fair. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it takes this means to extend to the Commissioners our deep appreciation and gratitude for their unselfish service to the public. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii remit true copies of this resolutions to Planning Commission Chairman William F. Mielcke; and to members of the Planning Commission; and Planning Director Sidney Fuke. Dated at Hilo Hawaii this day of August, 1978.
