won the State Little League Championship in Honolulu on July 31,
1977, in impressive wins over all other entrants in this state-
wide series; and
WHEREAS, the EAST HAWAII KIWANIS LITTLE LEAGUE ALL-STARS
are representing the State of Hawaii at the Western Regional
finals in San Bernardino, California; and
WHEREAS, the residents of the Island of Hawaii are proud
of the EAST HAWAII KIWANIS LITTLE LEAGUE ALL-STARS and wishes
them every success as it begins competition in the 16 -team
tournament.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it conveys to the East Hawaii Kiwanis Little
League All -Stars its Aloha and congratulations as representatives
of the State of Hawaii and wishes them every success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is
hereby directed to transmit true copies of this resolution to
Manager Joe Moses; Coach Masao Arakaki; East Hawaii Kiwanis
Little League Baseball President Andrew Higa; League Manager
Isami Kondo; and District IV Administrator Alwin Campainha.
