Aloha Hawaii County Council,
I fully support Resolution 322-19 declaring a Hawaii County Climate Emergency and
requesting regional collaboration towards an immediate just transition and
emergency mobilization effort to restore a safe climate.
As an educator,I know that climate change education will be key to this process. I have been a
climate change educator for the past 15 years and am frustrated the status quo attitudes of
government.
As a small scale mamaki farmer in recovering Lower Puna, I feel the effects of climate change
daily as I face the challenges of sustainably growing the mamaki.
As a human being,I still have hope we can turn this around.
Please vote yes!
