Aloha Council Members,
I am a resident of Kamuela and mother of two. I would like to urge you to PASS the resolution declaring a climate
emergency! I believe this is an issue that will affect all of our lives, and those of the young especially. Our kids need hope
for their future, and what that future looks like depends on individuals and especially government taking actions now to
adapt and mitigate the effects of climate change. I would like to see aggressive goals by the county for switching to
renewables, and investment in public transportation - more frequent buses! Electric buses! Just some ideas. Please pass
the resolution and begin actions now to deal with the crisis we face.
