Dear Council Members,
I am a Hawaii state resident in strong support of Councilwoman Villegas's Bill 101 for
herbicide-free Hawaii County parks and roads. I love that this is "Bill 101" because it is a
basic environmental consideration to protect our public spaces from toxic chemicals. Malama
Aina 101!
Thank you for considering this bill to protect ecosystem and human health in Hawaii County. I
hope the bill receives strong support from other Council Members, and that Hawaii County
sets an example for the rest of the state by transitioning away from the use of toxic chemicals
that poison the air, land, and waters of our beautiful islands. Please approve Bill 101 in
committee, and once approved,please vote YES on Bill 101.
