Dear Chair Chung and Council Members:
It is,my pleasure to nominate Justin Bradford Lee of Council District 7 to the Public
Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission. Mr. Lee is a
project manager for Haloa `Aina Sandalwood Farm, a company that specializes in the
reforestation of sandalwood trees.
Mr. Lee is a "local boy", born and raised in Hawai'i, and a graduate of Hawai'i
Preparatory Academy. He attended the University of Washington and Kapi'olani
Community College. He worked with the Hawai'i County Fire Department for
approximately 7 years before joining his family business full time.
Mr. Lee states that he is not a member of any political party. If confirmed, he will fill a
vacant term to end December 31, 2019. He will qualify to apply for reappointment to a
full five-year term.
