Dear Chair Chung and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Marisa R. Bankston, a resident of Kailua-Kona, to the
Kona Community Development Plan Action Committee.
Ms. Bankston works in homeowner association management at Associa Hawai'i —
Kailua-Kana and earned an Associate of Science degree.
Among her community service roles, Ms. Bankston serves as Board President of the
West Hawai'i Explorations Academy Foundation, a member of the Economic Committee
for the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce and the Work Site Committee of the Blue
Zones initiative.
Ms. Bankston was born and raised on Hawai'i Island. She indicates that she is not a
member of any political party. If confirmed, she will fill a term expiring May 31, 2021.
