Dear Chair Chung and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Roselyn C. Molina of Kailua-Kona to the Kona Community
Development Plan Action Committee. Ms. Molina currently works as a Business Agent
for ILWU Local 142. She previously worked in the hotel industry with various hotels as a
guest service agent and a PBX operator.
Originally from the Philippines, Ms. Molina was raised on Hawai'i Island where she
learned to work in the papaya farm at the age of 10 in Pahoa. She attended Hawai'i
Community College and earned a Certificate in Business and Hospitality.
Ms. Molina is active in her community having volunteered with the Hotel Industry Charity
Walk, Food Basket, Holualoa School, and numerous fundraising events for schools.
She states that she is not a member of any political party. If confirmed, Ms. Molina will
serve a vacant term to end May 31, 2021.
