"Dear Council members,
I am fully in support of phasing out glyphosate aka Roundup from any kind of use and
specially from spraying our roadways and back yards.
There are numerous studies on the cancer causing effects and the accumulation of this
chemical in our environment and in our bodies. Perhaps less known effect of glyphosate is the
steep increase in gastrointestinal complaints that is virtually identical to that of gluten allergy
and chronic inflamatory bowel syndrome.
The proposed bill, in my view doesn't go far enough. Glyphosate has a huge impact on public
health and should be banned effective immediately.Allowing four years for its complete phase
out is unnecessary and irresponsible."
