NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII
that it hereby
adopts the
policy that securing, safeguarding
and preserving
the human
and legal
rights of each and every individual
residIng
in the County of
Hawaii --
including women, children and
the under
and unemployed
as well as
the handicapped -- 'is and shall
remain in perpetuity the highest priority concern and business of
the County of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Administration of the County
of Hawaii shall,.,
le Immediately reactivate the Committee on the Handicapped
2. Work towards the elimination throughout the County of
Hawaii of all physical and attletudional barriers that
prevent normalization of the envioronment for
handicapped personsl
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaij
transmiot a true copy of this resolution to the Honorable Herbert T.
Matayoshi, Mayor of the County of Hawaii.
