WHEREAS, the County advertised for bids and received only
one bid for a three-year fire insurance policy with $50, 000
deductible, which insures buildings and equipment against the
perils of fire and extended coverage-
WHEREAS,
overage;W ER S, the annual premium of $33, 253 on valuations of
$37, 931, 120 was evaluated and found to be acceptable; and
WHEREAS, Sec tion. 10-11 of the Charter requires that any
contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds
from appropriations of a later fiscal year be approved by
resolution;
NOW.. THEREFORE, be it resolved by the County Council of the
County of Hawaii that the bid be accepted and fire insurance
policy be purchased for the three-year period from November 1,
1977 to October 31, 1980 and that sufficient funds not exceeding
$50,000 per year be provided to pay premiums for each of the
three years®
