Resolution No. 2:15
WHEREAS, Section 3-14 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii
stipulates that interim amendments to the pay plan ordinance
shall be by resolution of the council; and
WHEREAS, as responsible elected officials every precaution
must be exercised in our deliberations regarding any expenditure
of our scarce tax dollars,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it hereby requests the Administration to submit a
complete information package with any request for reallocations
and new positions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the information package shall
consist of at least the following:
I. Proposed Reallocations
A. Salary Rating & Range Present and Proposed
B. Job Description - Present and Proposed
(Note change in duties. )
C. Rationale for the request.
II. New Positions
A. Salary Range
B. Funding Source (Federal, State, County)
C. Proposed Job Description
D. Rationale for the request.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that proposed reallocations and new
positions be submitted for council consideration in separate
resolutions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a true copy of this resolution to the Honorable Herbert T.
Matayoshi, Mayor of the County of Hawaii,
