WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has been selected by the
Municipal Finance Officers Association of the United States and
Canada to receive a Certificate of Conformance for its Annual
Financial Report for 1976; and
WHEREAS, the Certificate of Conformance is the highest form
of recognition given in the area of governmental accounting and
financial reporting indicating a conformance of the Annual
Financial Report to generally accepted accounting principles
and financial reporting standards as prescribed by the authorita-
tive publications of the National Council on Governmental Accounting
and of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; and
WHEREAS, MR. TAKEO NAKAYAMA has been designated as the
person being most responsible for the bestowal of this prestigeous
accolade and in recognition thereof, has been selected to receive
the Municipal Finance Officers Association' s Award of Financial
Reporting Achievement,
NOW, THEREFOR:, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it takes this means to commend and congratulate
MR. TAKEO NAKAYAMA on being the recipient of the Award of Financial
Reportin,7 Achievement and for his key role in the bestowal of
the Certificate of Conformance by the Municipal Finance Officers
Association to the County of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be and is hereby designated to transmit a copy of this resolution
to !Ix. Takeo Nakayama, Controller, County of Hawaii .
