HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 242 Draft 01 1976-1980 County of Hawaii--State of Hawaii Resolution WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has completed the channelization improvement project at the intersection of Kaapeka Street and the Hawaii Belt Highway at Pepeekeo, District of South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii and WHEREAS, it is in the best of public interest and purpose to integrate the channelization improvement project into the Hawaii Belt Highway System and place it under the jurisdiction of the Department of Transportation, Highways Division, State of Hawaii; and WHEREAS, the County, for the reason aforesaid, desires to transfer the improvements and certain parcels of land to the State of Hawaii. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it approves and authorizes the Mayor to quitclaim to the State of Hawaii the improvements and parcels of land shown in red on the maps attached hereto and marked Exhibits A, B and C. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be authorized and directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Department of Trans- portation, Highways Division and Board of Land and Natural Resources of the State of Hawaii, and to the Department of Public Works and Finance Director of the County of Hawaii.
