Resolution
WHEREAS, a permanent access from the Kulaimano Heights Subdivision to
the Hawaii Belt Highway has been constructed and provided for through Kaapeka
Street, at Pepeekeo, District of South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the temporary access to the Belt Highway from the subdivision
through Pepeekeo Street has been closed; and
WHEREAS, the provision for the permanent access and the closing of the
temporary access are in conformity with the Kulaimano Subdivision master plan
and the subdivision approval granted to Brewer Support Housing, Inc. by the
Department of Planning, County of Hawaii, for the Kulaimano Heights Subdivision;
and
WHEREAS, a portion of Pepeekeo Street is, therefore, no longer of any use
to the County of Hawaii as a public roadway;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the portion of Pepeekeo Street as shown in redcn the map attached hereto and
marked Exhibit A, be and is hereby abandoned as a roadway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be authorized and directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to Brewer Support Housing, Inc. and to the
Department of Public Works of the County of Hawaii.
