Dear Park and Road Testimony,
I am writing in,strong support of Bill 101 which prohibits the use of toxic pesticides and herbicides on all county-owned
parks, roads, bikeways, sidewalks,trails,drainage ways, and waterways.
This legislation is critical to protect Hawai'i County from these common sources of exposure to harmful herbicides.
The science is clear that even small amounts of herbicide exposure over time poses serious harm to people,animals and
the environment. Protecting the community should be a priority of this body.
We must do all that we can to protect our community—especially our children—when it comes to exposure to these
poisons.
