The dangers of glyphosate are well-known. Perhaps less well-known is the danger of the "carriers" fo glyphosate. They are also known carcinogens so give an added dimension to the risk of using RoundUp on public areas. While it is true that RoundUp is short lived in soil, it is sprayed and can spread to people in cars driving past roadsides where it is being applied. In the brief time it is active in the soil, it can runoff and contaminate streams. Please pass Bill 101 to start the process of reducing the use and gradually eliminate the use of RoundUp. I am an organic farmer in Honaunau where there is significant rainfall. I am fortunate that there is no farm above my farm but I feel very sad for farms downhill from where Roundup is applied, whether by other farmers or Hawaii County or by individuals or businesses. For our chidren's future, please eliminate this carcinogen from our environment. Aloha...Beth Anne "Ana" Webb of Moonstruck Organics • Comm. No. 445q' 11t Ref. To: P MIIM& Ref. Dare OCT 1 5:2019
