Chung, Chairman, `* r and Members of the Hawai`i County Council County of Hawaii 25 AupuniStreet Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 Dear Chairman Chung and Members of the County Council: SUBJECT: Cost Items, Hawai`i Government Employees Association (HGEA) • Bargaining Unit 13, 73 and Employees Excluded from those Bargaining Units In accordance with Section 89-10(b), HRS, attached for'Council action is a resolution authorizing the appropriation in future fiscal years of funds to cover the negotiated increases to cost items agreed to between the employers and the Hawaii Government Employees Association (HGEA) for bargaining units 13, 73 and employees excluded from those bargaining units. The agreement covers the period from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021. Cost items presented for your consideration are'across-the-board increases, step movements, within range progressions, increases to meal allowances, and increases in travel times. Attached as an exhibit to the resolution is a schedule showing the total cost of these various increases over the two years of the contract period.
