RESOLUTION NO. 401 19
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF FUNDS TO BE USED TOWARDS TRAVEL AND
OTHER EXPENSES TO ATTEND THE ADVANCED
HOMICIDENIOLENT CRIME INVESTIGATOR COURSE TO THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the International Homicide Investigators Association (IHIA) is
donating funds to the County of Hawaii Police Department for travel and other
expenses to attend the Advanced HomicideNiolent Crime Investigator Course in
Las Vegas, Nevada; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has been invited to send a Police Officer
to this training; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Police Department recommends
approval of this donation by the IHIA; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides
that the council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money,
securities, or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate;
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`1, , in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the
County of Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of
this resolution to the Police Department, the Department of Finance and the Office
of the Mayor.
