This appropriation reflects <br /> funding allocations received from the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations for the <br /> Program Year(PY) 2018. No County General Funds are involved. The bill sets up the <br /> proper accounts to receive and expend the WIOA funds. <br /> i <br /> The Office of Housing and Community Development(OECD) indicates that the funds will <br /> be in rapid response and layoff aversion activities in Hawaii Island. <br /> The OHCD requests that this resolution and bill be waived from the Finance Committee a <br /> and be placed on the November 20, 2019 Council agenda, so that the funds will be <br /> available for use as soon as possible.
