Dear Chairman Chung and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Georjean L. Adams of Council District 9 to the
Environmental Management Commission. Ms. Adams is a retired college professor and
consultant in the areas of environmental regulations and in environmental, health and
safety management.
Ms. Adams holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of California
San Diego and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy from Washington
University in St. Louis., Missouri.
Ms. Adams has been a resident of Hawaii for the past 5 years and currently serves on
the Solid Waste Advisory Committee. She also served as a board member of Recycle
Hawai'i and other community organizations.
Ms. Adams states that she is not a member of any political party. If confirmed, Ms.
Adams will serve a 5 year term to end December 31, 2024. -
