RE: Resolution requesting an animal control study
Please find attached a proposed Resolution requesting the Legislative Auditor's Office to
perform a special study about animal control in the County of Hawaii. Please have the
Resolution numbered and referred to the appropriate committee for review.
The Council and administration have received numerous complaints about our animal control
program. I believe that the study proposed in the attached resolution will help bring us to a place
where we can address the concerns expressed. This in turn will create the opportunity for the
County to improve the level and quality of the service we provide.
