RESOLUTION NO. 258
WHEREAS, John Costales, Jr. , has been named the most inspira-
tional Jayvee basketball player for the 1977-1978 basketball
season at Chaminade University; and
WHEREAS, this accolade was one of nine awards presented to
the members of the Silversword' s varsity and junior varsity teams
at their awards banquet; and
WHEREAS, John Costales, Jr. , a freshman at Chaminade, was a
1977 graduate of St. Joseph High School where he performed
brilliantly in basketball and baseball,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it extends its congratulations and best wishes to
John Costales, Jr. , on receiving the award of Chaminade's 1977-1978
Most Inspirational Jayvee Basketball Player.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be and is hereby directed to transmit true copies of this resolution
to John Costales, Jr. , and to his parents, John and Sylvia Costales.
