Resolution
WHEREAS, the road reserve known as Young Road located within a portion
of the Waiakea Homesteads and abutting the Panaewa Zoo Complex on the West
side, has not been abandoned; and
WHEREAS, that portion of Young Road reserve passing through the
Panaewa Race Track and Zoo Complex has been abandoned by Resolution No. 444,
creating a no access situation to the road reserve from the Panaewa end; and
WHEREAS, said roadway abutting Tax Map Key: 2-4-04: 2 and 3 is no longer
of any use to the County of Hawaii;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the road reserve abutting Tax Map Key: 2-4-04: 2 and 3, as delineated in
red on the map attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A", be and is hereby de-
clared abandoned as a roadway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be authorized and directed
to forward a copy of this resolution to the Department of Land and Natural
Resources, State of Hawaii, Mr. Rudy Hirota, and to the Department of Public
Works of the County of Hawaii.
