Department of Housing and Urban Development has advised the County of Hawaii by letter dated July 12, 1978 that the Small Cities Comprehensive Program preapplication for the Hilo Core Renewal Project was selected for Community Development Block Grant funding under the Federal Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, and that the County of Hawaii may submit a full application for $327 ,600; and WHEREAS, it is recognized that the Federal application requires certain assurances and certifications from the County with respect to the Block Grant, as contained in Form HUD-7015 . 12 (11/75) ; and WHEREAS, it is recognized that a timely submission of an appli- cation for Block Grant funds in accordance with the appropriate Federal regulations is necessary, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is hereby assured of full compliance by the County with the assurance and certification requirements contained in Form HUD-7015. 12 (11/75) . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is hereby authorized and directed to execute the attached applica- tion for Block Grant funds in the amount of $327,600 and to file such application with the U. S . Department of Housing and Urban Development, to provide such additional information as may be required to execute any other related documents necessary to process the application and to act as the authorized representative of the County.
