Resolution
WHEREAS, the Office of Corporation Counsel is presently
leasing an IBM Magnetic Card II Selectric typewriter for
$277. 42 a month under a lease dated April 16 , 1974 ; and
WHEREAS, IBM Corporation allows a portion of paid lease
monies to be applied toward the purchase of the IBM Magnetic
Card II Selectric typewriter; and
WHEREAS, the amount of paid lease monies capable of
being credited toward the purchase of a typewriter is such
that it is in the best interest of the County to purchase
the IBM Magnetic Card II Selectric typewriter or its equivalent
at this time,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the Corporation Counsel ' s Office is
hereby authorized to purchase an IBM Magnetic Card II Selectric
typewriter or its equivalent on an installment plan basis
extending over 36 months , and that necessary funds be provided
in the following two fiscal years to cover the obligation of
the County under the installment purchase agreement to be
entered into by the Mayor for the benefit of the Corporation
Counsel.
