RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, Junedale Kapina Imiloa Quinories was selected and
crowned Miss Hawaii Puerto Rican 1978 on May 27, 1978 , at the
Fourth Annual Miss Hawaii Puerto Rican Pageant sponsored by the
Hawaii Puerto Rican Cultural Association; and
WHEREAS, Miss Quinories, selected amid a field of six beau-
tiful, poised, and talented contestants, enhanced her victory by
capturing the individual talent, evening gown, and swimsuit events
as well as the Miss Congeniality Award; and
WHEREAS, Junedale Kapina Imiloa Quinories, as the reigning
Miss Hawaii Puerto Rican, will also represent the Big Island as an
Official Greeter throughout the year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that in recognition and commendation for this esteemed
achievement it hereby extends to Miss Junedale Kapina Imiloa
Quinories its congratulations and best wishes for success during
her reign as Miss Hawaii Puerto Rican 1978.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be and is hereby instructed to transmit true copies of this reso-
lution to Miss Junedale Kapina Imiloa Quinories; to her parents
Mr. and Mrs. Adam Quinories; to her sponsor, Get It On; and to the
Hawaii Puerto Rican Cultural Association.
